As Home Depot lays off more employees, upstart Green Depot is hiring – another sign the green building trend is moving forward. The East Coast company that began in 2005 has announced another store opening in of all places – ritzy Manhattan (the tune “Green Acres” comes to mind).
Green Depot claims to be a one-stop shop for builders and homeowners who want green products and materials. So far, it seems the green niche in the building supply industry is working. Green Depot has stores in Boston, MA; Brooklyn, NY; Greenport, NY; Newark, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.
A kind word to Green Depot - you’re welcome in Chicago, anytime.
