Today, I saw three red brick Colonials and an interesting Cape Cod all in Northwest Evanston.
3313 Harrison – This 2 bedroom, 1 bath Cape Cod home is the one of the lowest priced homes you will find in Northwest Evanston, and it’s cute and cozy for the price. Some of the nice features include hardwood floors in the living room and halls, two-decent sized bedrooms, a separate dining room and a sunroom. Although the kitchen has grantie countertops, the cabinets are a little dated. Probably the most interesting aspect of this home is it’s large lot size – 50 x 180. There’s plenty of room to expand the home. Buy now and expand later or rent and then build when the market changes. Price tag – $329,000.
2024 Ewing – This is a roomy 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath Colonial that has an open kitchen, a circular floor plan and a large living room that was an addition to the home in the 1980s. The home has hardwood floors throughout, 3 good-sized bedrooms on the second floor, and a front room fireplace. The price is nice but it’s that way because the home is on the corner of Ewing and Golf – though it’s setback from Golf and faces Ewing. Price tag – $499,900.
80 Salem – This 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath Colonial is located in Northwest Evanston’s New England Village. This home also has a circular floor plan with hardwood floors on the first floor. Upstairs are three-good sized bedrooms that are carpeted. There’s a galley kitchen that opens up to a living room that leads to a deck outside. Price tag – $529,500. There’s also a 4 bedroom home for sale next door for $499,900.
2510 Prospect – This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath Colonial was recently renovated with granite countertops, stainsless steel appliances and cherry cabinets in the kitchen. There is hardwood floors throught the first floor, which also a circular floor plan. The master bedroom is roomy with a large walk-in closet and a renovated bath. Price tag – $875,000.
