Shiver me timbers, it’s St. Patrick’s Day!
Today, I visited four Northwest Evanston homes.
2116 Ewing - This three-bedroom, one-bath Luxembourg farmhouse needs TLC but the price was just dropped to $289,900 from $319,900. The white fence adds charm to the home’s exterior. To enter the home, you walk down a few steps and enter the kitchen and large eating area. The living room and bedrooms are located above the kitchen. The layout is unusual for the typical home in the area but the home does have a certain charm, especially for a price below 300k.
2322 Cowper - This three-bedroom, one bath home has a new roof, a new stainless steel stove and refrigerator (there’s no dishwasher) and hardwood floors. There’s a nice screened porch and breakfast area off the kitchen. The partial basement is unfinished and there are stairs leading to an unfinished attic. The price was dropped to $400,000 from $450,000.
2210 McDaniel - This three-bedroom, 2.5 bath brick Tudor has a new kitchen, containing granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and cherry cabinets. There’s a first floor office and half bath. Upstairs are three bedrooms, including a nice-sized master suite. Although there is a decent-sized living room graced by a wood-burning fireplace and a family room next to the kitchen, there is not a separate dining room. However, the office could be easily converted into a dining room if necessary. The basement is nicely finished as well. Price tag-$649,000.
2409 Lawndale - This four bedroom, two-bath brick Colonial has a large 27×18 living room with a woodburning fireplace. The kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and cherry cabinets. Upstairs are four decent-sized bedrooms. Although there is not a master bath, there are two full bathrooms side-by-side off the hallway. The basement is unfinished. The price tag-$679,000.
