Today I previewed two condos and a co-op all under $230,000 that just came on the market.
635 Hinman #1 – This 2 bedroom, 1 bath co-op is in a 9-unit building conveniently next to a tot-lot. The coop has a new kitchen, hardwood floors and an in-unit washer/dryer. There is no parking that comes with the unit but it is walking distance to the bus and CTA purple line. Monthly assessments are $379, which includes the taxes. Price tag=152,000.

This is perfect for someone who wants to put in a little elbow grease and earn some sweat equity. Price tag -$190,000.
