
Omar Gutierrez recently committed an act of kindness that I love hearing about.
If you haven’t already heard, Gutierrez of 142-148 Clyde in Evanston, went to the aid of a pizza delivery man who was attacked last week in South Evanston. The two offenders kicked and beat Stephen Walker and then stole and destroyed his car.
Gutierrez witnessed the attack and called 911. Afterward, Gutierrez went out of his way to collect donations for Walker, who lives in an Carol Stream apartment. Gutierrez and Brummel Park Neighbors also set up a website to raise money for Walker. So far, more than $6,000 has been raised. Read more
