Evanston single-family home sales in May show signs of life

The number of Evanston single-family home sales in May remained about the same, compared to the month of May last year. This is good news since sales were down considerably in March and April this year, compared to the same time last year.

The news isn’t so rosy in terms of the median sales price, which dropped more than 20 percent in May 2009, compared to May 2008 numbers.  The average market time remained about the same during May 2009, compared to the same time last year.
