June single-family home sales drop 19%

The number of Evanston single-family home sales last month dropped, compared to the same time last year.  There were 54 single-family home sales in June 2008, compared to 30 last month. Evanston developer files for bankruptcy

The developer of the Sienna Condos in downtown Evanston has filed for bankruptcy protection this week, according to an article in the Chicago Real Estate Daily. According to the report, Thomas Roszak “said he has assets of $1 million to $10 million and liabilities of $50 million to $100 million,” and that seven companies he co-owns [...]
