Evanston condo sales blast off in April, prices drop

 Evanston condos sales shot through the roof in April 2010 with 54 sales, compared to only 19 in April 2009. The median sales price in April 2010 was $236,000, compared to $255,00 in April 2009 – an eight percent drop.  The probable cause of the high number of April 2010 condo sales was the federal tax credit deadline, which now has expired.
